Questionairre borrowed from Heather...

1. When did you start blogging and why?  I started with Blogdrive, sometime in the Spring of 04. But before that, I had tried every imaginable blog on the net, none of which compared to Blogdrive. (I probably really started in 2003. Back then a young Air Force guy found my military webiste, liked my war story's and invited me to his blog. Pretty quickly, I was introduced to lots of young Air Force men and women and was invited to write a weekly column on my experiances. I had a lot of fun, but a year later, (not sure if the Afghanistan war had started or not...perhaps the beginning), ...the Air Force put a kabosh on the Air Force Blog and it was disbanded).

2. How do you use blogging to build friendships? Find people I like to read, interesting, unusual or offbeat...You know who you are, lol!

3. Who do you read every day, rain or shine?  I have been too busy of late to read blogs on a daily basis, but I try to stop by and at least read all those on my friends list or leave a comment.

4. Why did you choose to share that piece of yourself in a photograph?  Well I don't think I ever shared a pic of mmyself...Oh wait...oh yeah!! I think I posted an old AF pic of mine last year...other than that, I usually post the grandkids.

5. How would you describe your writing style?  Story telling at it's worse...Mispelled words, grammatical errors, but I enjoy getting feedback on a blog story attmept, lol!

6. If you could spend time with one person (other than your spouse, because really, let's not rack up the suck up points here)?  Other than my dad who recently passed on, my grandfather on my mothers side, whom I never met. He was in WWI. I have all his boot camp letters and have traced his war time service...He was also, one of the first lineman in L.A., when it began to boom after the war. I would like to sit down and pick his brain.

7. What don't you write about?  Hard to say...I pretty much tell it like it is...Every so often, I fall into the trap of telling very peronsal details...If too personal and I think about it, I go back and delete it immediately. Some things, though, like the passing on of my dad, who died of lung cancer. I thought might turn someone  away from smoking...or help them with the death and dying issue, and how one family coped.

8. How do you feel about meeting bloggers in real life? Are you nervous? Will you have great expectations?  I've never met anyone I blogged with...Mainly I because I live in the Northwest, and everyone else seems back East or somewhere else...I kind of like the annonimity and the freedom it gives one to write their thoughts.

9. Is there one blogger in particular that you find mirrors yourself? Our missing friend Daveman, probably comes the closest. We had more stories in common, then I like to admit, lol!

10. What is your favorite thing that you wrote?  Hard to pick one, but have many...I guess if I had to choose, it was the story about our first grandaughter when she was but a babe. I think it was titled; "Dancing with Blondes"...A very beautiful moment, between a new grandpa and a new grandchild. ;)

11. Have you written anything controversial?  Oh, early on I talked about religion some, and politics which interest me...but both subjects, tend to get me in trouble with all sorts of folks and I just don't need the grief anymore...Life is too short...My biggest foo pa, was several comments I made to some Candadians who were ragging on the US...Lets just say it wasn't a pleasant experiance.

12. Are you and your blogging persona the same person?  Pretty much.

13. Have you ever anonymously posted on a site to flame them?  No, I used matches instead...just kiddin!

14. If you had a super power, what would it be?  I don't have a super power and don't want one...but I do wish all the illness and hunger in the world vanish from this earth and we could all live happy lives...

15. Which five bloggers do you want to answer these questions?  The first five that haven't answered it before me...or take a number and get in line...;)
