Kid Speak

Our almost two year old granddaughter, is starting to jabber like and old man looking for help in a Home Depot aisle...;)

Word:          Jus
Meaning:     I want a sippy cup full of blue/red juice!

Word:          Cicle
                    You can't give the other kids a popsicle unless you give me one too!

Word:          Har
Meaning:     Comb my hair, papa, momma.

Word:           No!
Meaning:      I don't want to take a nap, I don't want to take a bath, I don't   want to go  to bed, I don't want to do anything you tell me! 

Word:           Bus
Meaning:      Brush my hair, I want to brush your hair...I want to hit you in the eye, head, nose, with a big ol' hairbrush.

Word:           No OG
Meaning:      No dog!...don't eat my cookie, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, popsicle, chips frech fries...Unless I feed it to you, then it's OK, even if granma says I can't!

Word:           Papa
Meaning:      Pops, Luvs, hugs, kisses

Word:            Mama
Meaning:       Mama or Grandma, I want something!

Word:            DADA
Meaning:       DADA I want something!

Word:         Gimmie
Meaning:    Gimmie, Gimmie, Gimmie more!

Word:          I want
Meaning:     I want what you have..right now!

Word:          Whaaaaa! Whaaaaa! in short bursts
Meaning:     Fake girlie cry with tears in order to obtain sympathy!

Word:          Maaaaa! Maaaa!
Meaning:     Her interpetation of a cow mooing.

WOW! It seems like yesterday when your newest grandaughter was just born. Two years - where'd the time go..

I havent learned all of grandson's language yet. Though he speaks better now, there are still words he has not mastered.

such as...
Doet = Dirt
Hoet = Hurt

I usually have to have daughter do translations for me. I guess if he was around more often I could learn the language of Tike-ese. :-)
